The greatest artworks are never made from a mold, instead they are carefully carved to reveal the masterpiece within.  The Agayev & Sons watch case is no different. Starting out as a solid block of corrosion and magnetic resistant 316L stainless steel, it is carefully milled to become

one of the most unique designs anywhere.  Lugs reveal themselves to be far more than simple attachments for the wristband. Instead they serve as stanchions to lift the watch ever so slightly above the surface upon which it rests.

The result of this patent-pending design protects the back crystal from touching and scuffing from hard surfaces such as granite counter tops.  Of course each case is gradually polished down using the most refined tools and papers available. The flow of the lugs themselves continues in the brushed designs between them – yet another feature you will be hard-pressed to find on any other watch.

The movement within an Agayev & Sons watch is only as good as the crystal that protects them.  In this case you are protected by sapphire. Chosen for its incredible clarity, sapphire crystal is highly transparent to all of the wavelengths discernible to the human eye. However, the true beauty of a sapphire crystal is its brawn: It is nearly twice as hard as standard glass and approaches the hardness of diamond. Sapphire crystal has the compressible strength of roughly ten times that of stainless steel. Think bullet-proof glass and the windows found in armored vehicles. Vigorous testing of the Agayev design includes water pressures experienced at over 100 meters of water depth (or around 330 feet).  Transparency, hardness, and strength are among the many facets that set the Agayev & Sons watch apart.
